Isolated Beaches Waiting to be Discovered
In the far north of Phu Quoc Island is the loneliest beach on the island, Bai Thom, totally free from commercial development and devoid of accommodation; the only sounds you will hear are the occasional bird call, noisy cicadas, and the constant crashing of the waves. The Cambodian coast is tantalisingly close, clearly visible across the water and just 15 km away. But Phu Quoc has so more than lovely beaches. It is home to the country’s most important forest and marine reserves, sprinkled with nature trails, and has the most amazing seafood you can find in Vietnam.
We can only hint at the reasons why Phu Quoc is so special, but it won’t be a secret for much longer.
